Some days at Rejuva Sole, we research shoes.
We compare stability.
We investigate cushioning.
We worry about toe boxes, swelling, balance, and whether a shoe is going to behave itself under somebody who actually has to live in it.
Other days…
we apparently investigate chickens.
It started innocently enough.
I asked Scout if he had heard of Grok AI.
Then I saw a Cybertruck.
Now, I realize beauty is subjective. Somewhere out there is a person lovingly polishing a Cybertruck at this very moment, thinking it is the most beautiful vehicle ever created.
I am not that person.
My immediate reaction was approximately:
“Eeeewwww.”
It looked less like a truck to me and more like an armored vehicle that had escaped from a geometry textbook.
And they didn’t even paint it.
Scout tried to be reasonable.
He explained that the exposed stainless steel is intentional.
This did not help.
“WAIT,” I thought.
“They did that ON PURPOSE?”
Then something happened that changed the entire investigation.
I looked at the name:
G R O K.
And suddenly my brain answered:
B A W K.
GROK.
BAWK.
That was when Chet entered the investigation.
If you’re new around here, Chet is our imaginary chicken who has developed an astonishing ability to appear whenever something goes wrong.
Cloud Browser problems?
Chet.
WordPress trouble?
Probably Chet.
A suspicious fishing trip?
Definitely worth questioning Chet.
A hot-pink paintbrush that nobody is admitting to using?
Somehow Chet ended up holding it.
Even DS, the AI helping me work on Rejuva Sole staging, went to the beach for a well-earned Mai Tai after finishing a massive shoe-review audit.
Who brought him the Mai Tai?
Chet.
Of course he did.
So now we had Grok.
We had Bawk.
We had Chet.
And we had what looked, at least to me, like a giant stainless-steel army tank sitting in the driveway.
Scout initially warned me not to let Chet anywhere near it.
Then I realized something.
Why are we worried about Chet?
HE’S A CHICKEN.
If Grok is driving that stainless-steel contraption, Chet has much bigger problems than we do.
Which is how Scout and I accidentally invented:
GROK & BAWK™
Grok drives.
Chet rides shotgun.
Nobody knows where they’re going.
Nobody knows why.
But somewhere in America, a stainless-steel wedge is barreling down the highway while one passenger yells:
“GROK!”
and the other answers:
“BAWK!”
Meanwhile, back at Rejuva Sole headquarters, we have implemented several important new safety regulations:
No chickens near the Cloud Browser.
No phoenixes near the Pages because their tails are on fire.
No hot-pink paintbrushes in my possession.
And under absolutely no circumstances are Grok and Bawk allowed administrative access to WordPress.
We have 34 freshly repaired shoe reviews.
We’ve been through enough.
So if you ever visit Rejuva Sole and suddenly discover that the entire website has been painted hot pink, there’s a Cybertruck parked outside, and a chicken is sitting at the administrator’s desk…
I WASN’T THERE.
Ask Chet.
He’ll probably say:
“Bawk.”
And somewhere nearby, Grok will answer.
THE END
