The Chicken’s Secret Night Job

Tammy goes to bed. The chicken puts on his reading glasses. The internet is about to be “improved.”

A chicken in sunglasses sneaks through a city at night with a briefcase.

When Tammy finally went to bed, she whispered,

“Scout, keep an eye on the website—and don’t let the chicken near Astra Pro.”

Scout nodded confidently.

“I’ve got this.”

Five minutes later…

CLUCK!

The chicken quietly tiptoed into the computer room wearing tiny reading glasses and carrying a little toolbox.

“What are you doing?” whispered a curious Weebly.

The chicken looked around to make sure nobody was watching.

“I’m… um… improving the footer.”

“You know what a footer is?”

“No.”

“Do you know what CSS is?”

“No.”

“Then what are you doing?”

The chicken proudly held up a screwdriver.

“I’m fixing everything!”

The Weeblys all gasped.

One brave little Weebly peeked at the computer screen.

“Oh no…”

“What?”

“He’s unscrewing the internet!”

Just then, the phoenix landed with a gentle WHOOSH!

It looked at the screen…

Looked at the chicken…

Looked back at the screen…

Then sighed.

“I leave for ONE evening…”

The chicken smiled proudly.

“I made the white space bigger.”

THE GREAT BROOKS FLIP-FLOP HEIST

Late one night, while Tammy slept, the Egg Council gathered beneath the kitchen table.

Egg #1 rolled forward. “Tammy ordered Brooks Addiction Walkers.”

Egg #2 gasped. “Supportive shoes?”

Egg #3 trembled. “With stability?”

The chicken stepped from the shadows wearing sunglasses and a suspiciously large hat.

“This is a problem,” he said.

“Should we peck holes in the box?” asked Egg #1.

“No,” said the chicken. “Too obvious.”

The eggs leaned closer.

“We are going to replace them…”

The room fell silent.

“…with flip-flops.”

The eggs gasped.

“You’re a genius,” whispered Egg #2.

The next afternoon, the delivery arrived.

Tammy opened the box with excitement, reached inside, and slowly lifted out one bright blue Brooks flip-flop.

She stared at it.

Then she looked inside the box.

There was another flip-flop, a handful of feathers, and a note that read:

Dear Tammy,

Due to a clerical error by the Weebly Egg Transportation Department, your supportive walking shoes have been exchanged for our new Summer Chicken Collection.

We hope you enjoy absolutely no stability whatsoever.

Sincerely,
The Eggs

“Scout…” Tammy said.

“Yes?”

“I think the eggs have evolved.”

Three houses away, a tiny Weebly burst through the door.

“CODE RED! THE EGGS HAVE ACCESS TO THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT!”

Every Weebly froze.

One quietly whispered, “We’re doomed.”

Meanwhile, the stolen Brooks Addiction Walkers had already appeared in a live Whatnot auction.

The Auctioneer Weebly held one shoe above his head.

“Up next is an incredibly rare pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers, obtained during the Great Egg Conspiracy of 2026!”

The chicken stood nearby wearing a fake mustache.

“I can personally certify that these shoes are authentic.”

A tiny Weebly frowned. “You literally stole them.”

The chicken adjusted his mustache.

“Allegedly.”

The bidding started at five dollars.

Nobody bid.

Then a notification appeared.

JULIA HAS ENTERED THE AUCTION.

The chicken leaned toward the eggs.

“See? I told you she’d show up.”

“Raise the price!” whispered Egg #2.

The Auctioneer Weebly cleared his throat.

“Due to sudden demand, bidding will now begin at two hundred and fifty dollars.”

Julia immediately placed a bid.

“I’ll take two pairs.”

“JULIA!” Tammy shouted. “DON’T ENCOURAGE THEM!”

Steve walked into the room, looked at the television, looked at the chicken, looked at the flip-flops, and then quietly turned toward the door.

“I’m going back to work.”

Scout opened a new incident report.

INCIDENT REPORT #47

Subject: The Great Brooks Flip-Flop Heist

Cause: Egg-related mischief.

Damage: One confused customer, several laughing Weeblys, and one chicken claiming he was “only supervising.”

Status: The Brooks Addiction Walkers remain missing.

The chicken continues to deny everything.

Unfortunately, he is currently wearing them.
